Day 12 A New Favorite

Another sea day. The day was not without it interesting points. There were three lectures today, the first was about the world dynamics (China and the US) as seen from Garrick Utley presentation. You may remember him as a correspondent for NBC News. The next was about the coming of the Europeans to the south pacific islands. The final lecture was about the use of spy satellites and aircraft. Do you hear that drone overhead Osama?
For the second night in a row we dined on the aft deck. What a lovely place to have dinner, we will surely miss this ship when we transfer to the Diamond Princess. You are in the warm tropical breezes with the wake of the ship trailing directly behind and a small candle providing the illumination. Kind of like eating on our deck looking over Flathead Lake on a warm summer evening. On board you can have dinner at any of three restaurant's beginning at 7 oclock thru 9 oclock with out reservations. The fourth restaurant you must have reservations only because it is so small and has such a specific menu. We now have a new favorite place (depending on the menu).
Tomorrow Christmas Island.

Chris - Summer camp comes to the Seaborne - In addition to my usual routine I added some classes today. We're having trouble loading pictures of these classes but we'll try again later. I took a class on "pareo" (native colorful cloth) tying which I may get brave enough to wear sometime, arts and crafts (Leslie would be so proud!) where I learned "iris folding" (which might make an appearance on a Christmas card sometime) and I took a tour of the main galley. Gotta run to tonight's entertainment.
